Proofing
We assume that the files you send us have been proofed by you and are ready for printing. This means you have checked the document for all spelling and grammatical errors, colour issues, layout and design BEFORE sending us your artwork.
With this in mind you will not need to receive any further proofs from us. Although we will do our best to ensure that the files you send us are set up correctly, if you follow the guidance you should not have any issues.

While Designing…
To ensure your custom printed swing tags are produced exactly as intended, it’s important to follow a few key artwork setup guidelines before submitting your design.
Artwork setup tips:
- Set your design file to CMYK colour mode, not RGB, to ensure accurate print colours
- Include a 3mm safe zone around the edge of your swing tag and keep all text and images within this area
- Supply images at 300dpi resolution to avoid blurred or pixelated printing
- Use a magenta outline to clearly indicate the finished size of your swing tag, as shown in our templates
- Allow space for the stringing hole at the top of the tag and keep important design elements clear of this area
- If printing on both sides, provide two separate designs, one for the front and one for the reverse
Swing Tags Artwork
Your swing tag artwork should be created to the correct finished size based on the option selected. For best print results, we recommend supplying a print-ready PDF at 300dpi. If file size becomes an issue, this can be reduced, but files should not be supplied below 150dpi. Artwork may be set up at half or quarter scale, provided the resolution remains equivalent to 300dpi at full size.
General Guidance
- Carefully review your swing tag artwork before uploading your final PDF, making sure it matches the product and specifications you are ordering.
- Check all text for spelling and grammar, and confirm you are submitting the final approved version. Reprints caused by artwork errors may result in additional charges.
- Only include images, logos, and graphics that you have the rights to use, ensuring all content complies with copyright requirements.
- Artwork containing offensive, inappropriate, or unsuitable imagery will not be accepted for printing.
- Download our free swing tag templates from the templates page to help set up your artwork correctly.
